Professional Scuba Schools

DiveLifebanner11

PSS, Professional Scuba Schools is top training standards, avant-garde technology and continuous updating of its programs and its associates has earned PSS the indisputable fame as a training agency of the highest quality.

Professional Scuba Schools Worldwide is a member of RSTC (Recreational Scuba Training Council) Europe, an organization that only associates with the most important diver training agencies.

RSTC Europe, together with its American sister organization, founded WRSTC (World Recreational Scuba Training Council) which acts as a “governing” body by establishing the minimum requirements for diving courses, sets international training standards and represents a point of reference for anyone wanting to internationally “recognize” the quality of diver training.

Therefore, membership to WRSTC qualifies training organizations, accepted by RSTC Europe (or USA), as “internationally recognized” by virtue of the minimum standards these organizations have in common.

Professional Scuba Schools Worldwide offers a wide range of activities covering all aspects of diving, from snorkeling for children to diving with rebreathers to 100 meters. The Professional Scuba Schools Worldwide organization has divided these various activities into four different training divisions:

“Free Diving” - snorkeling and free diving

“Recreational” – recreational scuba diving

“Technical” - technical diving

“Emergency” - emergency procedures

One of the aims of the Professional Scuba Schools Worldwide organization is to protect the underwater environment and the fragile marine ecosystem. In order to meet this objective the PSS project WED (Water - Environment – Divers) was created to promote interaction between divers and the environment. The project consists of a synergy of events and undertakings that favor the underwater environment. In particular, aims to:

• make students attending diving courses aware of the impact the sport has on the environment and, through the training material and programs, teach good diving practices that respect the environment in which all divers are guests;

• teach students good diving practices and codes of conduct so they can interact with the environment without damaging or altering its delicate equilibrium;

• promote scientific, non-profit research projects that can make important contributions to protecting the environment;

• collaborate with agencies and organizations whose aims are to protect the environment;

• encourage initiatives and events promoting environmental protection;

• teach PSS Professionals about marine ecology so they are well-informed and aware of the important topics concerning marine life.

The personal commitment of all Professional Scuba Schools Professionals - is essential and it is their duty to encourage respect for the underwater environment and make the diving community aware of the importance of its protection.

Although organizing local events in favor of the environment (for example, cleaning up a beach) is undoubtedly a worthy cause, it is the everyday actions (such as always taking a net on a dive to collect litter and plastic found at dive sites) that are particularly significant and set an example for future divers and encourage them to appreciate and respect nature!
